David McCammon was born in Montreal. He studied photography at Ryerson University in Toronto. David and his wife Julia McCammon (nee Reed of North Hatley) have operated a full time photography studio in Waterloo, Ontario for 17 years. Whenever they visit North Hatley David can be found wandering back roads camera in hand. |

Many of the photographs in the exhibit are from the North Hatley area with some from southern Ontario including Lake Huron, Christian Island and Georgian Bay. The images are all hand printed limited edition archival Giclee prints (editions of 100). The exhibit is titled "presence".
"In the past I used to go into the landscape, camera in hand, like a hunter in pursuit of prey. Today, I wander with an open heart waiting to see what the creator will reveal to me. It is a meditative approach with rewarding results. For this I am always grateful." |

David McCammon est né à Montréal. Il a étudié la photographie à l’Université Ryerson à Toronto. Avec son épouse, Julia McCammon (née Reed de North Hatley), ils opèrent un studio de photos depuis plus de 17 ans, à Waterloo, en Ontario. |
L’exposition dévoile un grand nombre de photographies de la région de North Hatley, ainsi que du sud de l’Ontario incluant le Lac Huron, l’Ile Christian et la Baie géorgienne. Chaque image a été imprimée à la main en version limitée, édition de 100 (‘Archival Giclee’. L’exposition est intitulée : ‘présence ‘.
‘Dans le passé, j’allais me promener dans la nature, appareil-photo en main, comme un chasseur à l’affût de sa proie. Aujourd’hui, j’erre le cœur réceptif, pour voir ce que le Créateur va me révéler…C’est une approche méditative avec des résultats gratifiants. J’en suis toujours reconnaissant.’ |
