GHISLAINE PÉLOQUIN

She studied Fine Arts at Champlain College and Concordia University (BFA 1995) subsequently earning a degree in Graphic Design in 2000.

Her love of travel has led her to the Canadian Rockies, and throughout the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia where she explored and experienced cultural and geographic diversity.

She has worked in galleries, design firms, and independently, as a freelance graphic artist; she now works at the National Gallery in Ottawa as managing editor of Vernissage magazine.

Her free time is spent exploring still – creating both landscape and abstract works in a variety of oil-based media.

Inspired by her mother, this exhibition is in honour of her.

Elle a étudié les arts plastiques au Collège Champlain et à l’Université Concordia (BA 1995). En 2000, elle a obtenu un diplûme en graphisme.

Sa passion pour les voyages l’a menée vers les Rocheuses canadiennes, à travers les États-Unis, en Europe et en Asie, endroits où elle a exploré la diversité culturelle et géographique, et beaucoup appris.

Elle a travaillé dans des galeries d’art, des firmes de graphisme et elle a été pigiste comme artiste graphique. Elle travaille aujourd’hui à Ottawa, au Musée des beaux-arts du Canada, comme coordonnatrice à la rédaction du magazine Vernissage.

Durant son temps libre, elle continue d’explorer la création de paysages et d’œuvres abstraites en utilisant l’huile comme médium.

Cette exposition est dédiée à sa mère, qui l’a inspirée.
